It's presentation of our Material Invention Projects Day.
It was sad but rather expected by me that everyone would mostly use there objects on the list more as objects than media. After all, I did too even though I know shouldn't have. Destroying the original object to create, from the destruction, new expressive possibilities seemed to be the purpose of the assignment.
It was difficult for me to comprehend the objects and their associated meanings and arrive at the hoped outcome. The first part that entailed collecting 20 objects is where the problem began and never proceeded past. It is very unnatural to pick words or phrases that will hold various meanings and then just bash them around and see what you get. Do you expect a story, phrases, or just a bunch of meaningless words in the end?
Sheldon's was the most successful, but the list was as important to the film as my next door neighbor's grooming habits.
